I have two things to say to you, federal government.
1) I can't believe that the leaders of such a strong nation would cower to the threat of 2-4 inches of snow. Make'm take the day off if they can't hack it. When I was a kid, we walked to school in snow. When I was a kid we had coats, mittens, and boots. Set the example, be strong. Something something Valley Forge, something another Apollo 11.. (puts hand over heart sings Dale Jr theme song) Don't be a pussy and take the easy way out.. Is that how we built this great nation of ours?
2) WhooHoooo, day off!

its a free country... so we can't mandate everyone here to have snow tires especially due to the fact that we seldom get any snow.....if that law was somehow passed, it would have funded obamacare somehow anyways. if everyone went to work today, it would be grid lock.
That being said, make everyone work from home (ignoring the FACT that govt workers don't work) or take a sick day (govt workers' sick days do NOT expire)

I get it. I have lived in DC for 35 years. #1 was a setup.
I'm glad they did it. I've sat in 1" snow gridlock before.

So jealous. The state governments in Maryland are not nearly as afraid of bad weather as the feds are. I really wanted this snow day!
